Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Limitnil ("Limitnil", "we", "us"), the operator of JAB AI, the AI martial arts coach app. They cover the JAB AI apps for iPhone and Android and this website, jabai.app. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreeing to these Terms

By downloading or using JAB AI, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

2. Who can use JAB AI

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use JAB AI. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these Terms for you. JAB AI is not directed to children under 13.

3. Your account

• You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a guest account created on your device.
• A guest account's sign-in is kept only on that phone. If you sign out of a guest account or remove the app, you may lose access to it and its progress for good.
• Keep your device and sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. See jabai.app/delete-account.

4. Health and safety

• Check with a doctor first. Talk to a doctor before you start training, a new diet or a weight cut, especially if you have a health condition or an injury, are pregnant, or haven't exercised in a while.
• Training carries risk. Martial arts training and sparring carry a risk of injury. Train within your limits, warm up, use proper protective gear, and spar only with partners you trust, ideally under qualified supervision. Stop straight away if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath.
• Clear your space. Camera lessons, exams and arcade games involve fast movement. Use them in a clear, open space away from furniture, walls, people and pets, with your phone placed securely.
• Nutrition numbers are estimates. Calorie targets, weight targets and food scan results are estimates. Fuel limits how fast a plan has you lose weight and won't plan below a minimum daily calorie level, but those limits don't make a plan right for you. Cutting weight for a competition can be dangerous; get guidance from a doctor or a qualified professional.
• Allergies. Food scans can't detect allergens or hidden ingredients. Don't rely on them if you have a food allergy or intolerance.
• You're in charge of your health. You are responsible for your health and safety and for deciding whether an activity is right for you. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

5. AI results

Video analyses, coach replies, food scan estimates and program picks are generated by AI, including third-party AI services named in our Privacy Policy (Google's Gemini API and TypeSafe's Jev). AI results can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you. Don't rely on them for decisions about your safety or health, or as a replacement for a qualified coach, doctor or dietitian. You can report an analysis, a scanned meal or a coach reply in the app.

6. JAB AI Pro subscriptions

Free and Pro

JAB AI is free to download. Free accounts have limits, for example one new lesson a day and a limited number of video analyses, food scans and coach messages, and some features need JAB AI Pro. We may change which features and limits are part of the free plan and of Pro.

How subscriptions work

• Where you buy. JAB AI Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Subscription options (for example weekly, monthly or yearly) may vary.
• Price. The price is shown in the app, in your local currency, before you buy.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
• Free trial (iPhone). On iPhone, JAB AI Pro may come with a free trial (for example, 3 days on the yearly plan). When the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends if you buy a subscription during it.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Price changes. If the price changes, Apple or Google will tell you in advance as their rules require.

Cancelling

• iPhone: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → JAB AI, or the App Store → your profile → Subscriptions.
• Android: open the Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → JAB AI.

When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your JAB AI account does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds

Apple and Google process all payments, so refunds are handled by them under their policies. For Apple, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, see the Google Play refund policy. We can't issue refunds ourselves.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the videos, photos, messages, username and other content you submit ("your content"). You give Limitnil a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, copy and display your content only as needed to run JAB AI and provide its features to you, for example processing your video for analysis, sending content to the AI services described in our Privacy Policy, and showing your username and scores on leaderboards. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain in backups for the short time described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and, if other people appear in your videos, that they have agreed to it.

8. Usernames and community rules

Your username is public. It must not:

• be offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or otherwise objectionable;
• impersonate another person, a brand or JAB AI;
• contain personal data, such as a full name, phone number, email or address (yours or anyone else's).

We filter usernames automatically. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We may change or remove any username, remove content, or suspend or delete any account that breaks these rules, without notice.

When using JAB AI, you must not:

• use the app for anything illegal or harmful, or to harass anyone;
• upload content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful or harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• cheat on leaderboards, for example with bots, scripts, modified apps, faked camera input, exploited bugs or multiple accounts;
• scrape or mine data from the app, or access our servers or APIs other than through the app;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or translate the app, or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows it;
• interfere with or disrupt the app, our servers or other users, try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around the app's limits or paywall.

9. Leaderboards

Weekly and all-time leaderboards show usernames, levels, ranks, fighter gear and game scores. The boards may include example fighters run by JAB AI, which are not real users. You can take yourself off the boards in Settings. We may remove scores we believe are not genuine, hide fighters from the boards, and reset or change the boards.

10. Our app and your licence

JAB AI, including its software, design, lessons, videos, graphics, characters, sounds, names and logos, belongs to Limitnil or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, distribute, sell, rent or create derivative works from the app or its content. All rights we don't expressly give you are reserved.

11. Third-party services

JAB AI relies on third-party services, such as Apple, Google, Cloudflare, Modal, RevenueCat and TypeSafe, listed in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for them. Food data comes from USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts, a community-built database, and may contain errors.

Some features need an internet connection. We are not responsible if the app doesn't work fully because you have no connection or a poor one. Your mobile carrier's charges, including data and roaming charges, apply.

12. Changes and availability

We are always working on JAB AI and may add, change or remove features, or stop offering the app, at any time. We may release updates and may require you to install them to keep using the app. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we don't promise that the app will always be available or free of errors.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using JAB AI at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access, remove your content or delete your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the app. When your access ends, your licence to use the app ends and you must stop using it and delete it from your device. Sections that by their nature should continue (including 7, 14, 15, 16 and 17) continue after your use ends.

14. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JAB AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that AI results, food data or targets will be accurate. Some countries don't allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Limitnil is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of JAB AI. To the same extent, Limitnil's total liability for all claims related to JAB AI is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for JAB AI Pro in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Limitnil against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your misuse of JAB AI or your breach of these Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts in New Delhi, India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you use JAB AI as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live. Before bringing a claim, please email us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

18. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded JAB AI from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these Terms.
• These Terms are between you and Limitnil only, not Apple. Limitnil, not Apple, is solely responsible for JAB AI and its content.
• Your licence is a non-transferable licence to use JAB AI on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that it may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for JAB AI.
• If JAB AI fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for JAB AI. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are Limitnil's responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed in these Terms.
• Limitnil, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to JAB AI or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that JAB AI or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Limitnil, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo or that the US Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your mobile data service agreement, when using JAB AI.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

19. Google Play terms

If you downloaded JAB AI from Google Play, your use of Google Play and purchases made through it are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for JAB AI.

20. General

• These Terms, our Privacy Policy and any store terms that apply are the whole agreement between you and Limitnil about JAB AI.
• If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a part of these Terms straight away, we don't give up the right to enforce it later.
• We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. You may not transfer them without our written consent.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by other appropriate means before they take effect. If you keep using JAB AI after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the app and delete your account.
