You can delete your JAB AI account and the data linked to it at any time, from inside the app or by email. This page explains both ways, what gets deleted and what is kept. The JAB AI app is operated by Limitnil.
Deleting your account does not cancel a JAB AI Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel yours there before you delete your account:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → JAB AI → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → JAB AI → Cancel subscription.
Option 1: Delete in the app
The fastest way. It works for Apple, Google and guest accounts.
- 01
Open JAB AI
Open the app on your phone and make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
- 02
Open Settings
Go to the app's Settings.
- 03
Tap Delete account
Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account.
- 04
Confirm
Tap Delete for good to confirm. Your account and its data are deleted from our servers straight away and you are signed out. This can't be undone.
Guest accounts: a guest account's sign-in is kept only on that phone, so delete the account in the app before you sign out or remove the app. If you've already lost access, use option 2.
Option 2: Ask us by email
If you can't open the app or no longer have access to your account:
- 01
Write to us
Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your JAB AI account (the address Apple or Google shared with us when you signed in).
- 02
Tell us which account
Use the subject "Delete my account" and include your JAB AI username if you have one. If you signed in with Apple's Hide My Email, or used a guest account, your username is how we find your account.
- 03
Confirm it's you
We may reply to check that the request comes from the account's owner.
- 04
We delete it
We delete the account and its data within 30 days and let you know when it's done.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes from our servers:
- Your account and profile: name, email, username, martial art, lead hand, units, sex, birth year, height and your onboarding answers.
- Your training progress: XP, level, rank, lessons, exam results, game scores, streaks, gear, achievements and daily tasks.
- Your leaderboard entries.
- Fuel: your meals, weight entries, calorie targets, goal weight and weight plan.
- AI coach chats: your messages and the coach's replies.
- Video analyses: every analysis with its videos, thumbnails and key frames. Links to them stop working.
- Device details stored with your account, such as your push notification token.
- Your subscription customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription service.
You can also delete single meals in the app without deleting your account. To have a single video analysis deleted (with its videos and images), email us.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your App Store or Google Play subscription
- Subscriptions and purchase history are held by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel in your store account (see above). Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies.
- Database backups
- Our database backups are kept in private storage for a few days and then replaced by newer ones, so deleted data disappears from them within days.
- Crash reports and analytics
- Crash, diagnostic and app usage data held by Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry and Firebase Analytics is kept for those providers' own retention periods.
- Content already sent to AI services
- Content that was sent to Google's Gemini API or TypeSafe's Jev to produce a result is handled under those providers' own terms. See our Privacy Policy.
- Data on your phone
- Meal photos are never stored on our servers. They, and the app's other files on your phone, stay there until you remove the app.
- Legal requirements
- We may keep information where the law requires us to.
